All appointments are online. I utilize PsychologyToday Sessions which is a free HIPAA-compliant telehealth video platform. It does NOT employ Artificial Intelligence, it does NOT transcribe sessions, & does NOT require any downloads from you. All you need is a reliable connection.
-
I see individuals ages 13 and older.

We’ll start by addressing any & all questions/concerns you may have for me. Then, we’ll make certain all intake documentation & billing details are complete. Then, we can focus on what’s important: You! We’ll discuss your concerns, what brought you to therapy, what you liked/didn’t like about previous therapy experiences, & whatever parts of your life & story you feel ready to share. We’ll build your treatment plan as well which documents your top priority goals & what you want to see change.
-
Each appointment is as unique as you and your goals! Some clients prefer structure, other clients prefer to simply target that week’s issues & questions. I highly recommend that you keep a virtual or tangible note where you can write your questions, concerns, epiphanies, or ideas so that sessions are driven primarily by your needs. But please, prioritize simply coming to session exactly as you are, even if you have no specific prompt for our time. Some of my client’s most insightful sessions are the ones that are open-ended and curious!

You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. If you’re feeling stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or simply ready to better understand yourself, therapy can help. Our work together can support healing, growth, and more conscious ways of living.
-
Therapy is an investment of your time, energy, emotions & finances, so you are the best-equipped professional to make that decision. Many of my clients begin with once a week or once every other week and decrease their frequency once they feel they’ve got enough tools, strategies, & psychoeducation to create the kinesis they’re looking for.
-
That depends on a wide array of factors such as: how often we can meet, how often you’re able to implement strategies & homework, & what sorts of defensive mechanisms & protective armor your brain might implement when it feels challenged. What I can assure is that we’ll do what we can, with what we have, with the time allotted to us!

I offer both EMDR and Creative intensive sessions. These are 3 hour, half-day appointments that allow you to dive into the modality’s insights, emotions, & growth more deeply & intensely. Intensives are a way some clients may find a month’s worth of progress in a single half-day.
EMDR Intensives focus on 175 minutes of Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing which is incredibly helpful for client’s with particularly powerful defense mechanisms, client’s who wish to see and feel more deep movement, &/or clients with limited availability for recurring therapy in their schedules.
Creative Intensives are bespoke sessions in which the client decides upon a medium of their choosing in a field of expression they find rich with therapeutic potential (visual arts, dance, music, writing, culinary arts, video production, photography, and countless others) and then I design an exercise/assignment in their chosen medium for them to complete during our time. Throughout the session, we will discuss what expression feels like, potential blocks that need nurturing, the power of symbolism, creative motivators & obstacles, along with the physiological, mental, & emotional impact of expression on the client. It’s an incredibly pressure-free space to create without the expectation of productivity, skill, or end results. We instead exchange judgement for curiosity and healing. Check out my “Services” for more details!

Absolutely not. The goal is expression, not perfection. Creative work in therapy is about exploring emotion and symbolism in a nonverbal way, not creating a polished product. You’re welcome to use any form of expression that feels comfortable or meaningful to you.

Confidentiality is a crucial component of therapy. What you discuss in a session will not be shared with anyone else. By law, your therapist can’t release this information without your written consent, except in the following situations:
The therapist suspects there is present abuse or neglect of children, adults or elders.
The therapist suspects the client is in danger of harming themselves or others.
The therapist has been made aware of a national security risk.
-
Out of pocket therapy means your care remains private, your goals stay personal, & you’re not limited by insurance deadlines & diagnoses. OOP care means your confidential information and diagnoses are never shared with insurance companies nor their affiliates without your consent. You can also entirely cater the pace, frequency, & intensity of therapy to your needs, not to insurance company restrictions. You can also invest in longer sessions, intensives, & there is never a diagnosis required to validate care to your insurer.
